The 2025 Secateurs Chenin Blanc opens with an inviting, crystalline bouquet of green apple, quince and white pear, underpinned by fragrant citrus blossom and hints of lemon zest and chalky minerality. Subtle notes of honeysuckle and flinty reduction add aromatic complexity without overpowering the fresh fruit core. On the palate, the wine is bright and finely poised, with vibrant acidity that carries juicy orchard fruit and citrus flavours through a nervy, focused mid-palate. Layers of quince and tart apple are complemented by a fine thread of saline minerality and a touch of soft spice. The texture is crisp yet creamy, exhibiting a refined tension that leads to a long, refreshing finish with gentle herbal undertones. Elegant and expressive, this Chenin Blanc balances fruit purity with structural precision — ideal for early enjoyment but with enough grip for gentle short-term development.

Boschendal Grande Cuvée Brut 2017 (W.O. Elgin) is an elegant Cap Classique made from cool-climate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes sourced from Elgin. The cool climate implies a longer growing season, which results in intensified flavours, whilst a fresh and crisp base wine is still attained. After whole-bunch pressing and fermentation, the wine is left on the lees for at least 36 months before being disgorged. It features fresh green apple and hints of citrus supported by discreet almond biscotti and brioche, typical of the classic bottle-fermented sparkling wine style. The extended lees contact elevates the full and creamy mouth-feel with elegant minerality, good balance and a seamless finish 93/100 Tim Atkin The Grande Cuvée Brut is an unwooded blend of Pinot Noir and 42% Chardonnay from Boschendal's own vineyards in Elgin. Scented, layered and refreshing, it has top notes of hazelnut and aniseed, a creamy mid palate from 72 months on lees, flavours of malt, wild strawberry and lemongrass and a tangy, dry finish. 2024-29

Capensis Fijnbosch Chardonnay 2019 The Capensis Fijnbosch Chardonnay seeks to showcase the pinnacle of purity from a singular site within the Stellenbosch District, and is only produced by our winemaker, Graham Weerts, during exceptional vintages. While our flagship wine, Capensis Western Cape Chardonnay, is sourced from specific vineyard sites across the Western Cape, fruit for this wine is sourced exclusively from the estate Fijnbosch vineyard. Planted at nearly 600 meters, this vineyard is home to some of the highest planted vines in the Stellenbosch District. Aged 11 months in 50% new French oak. Special consideration is exercised in the selection of each vine that becomes a part of this blend to ensure depth, finesse, and quality of the highest level is apparent in the glass. The 2019 Fijnbosch Chardonnay opens with aromas of lemon posset and gunflint. Bright and full on the palate, this wine boasts peach and lime zest notes complemented by crushed oyster shell minerality and salinity. Due to its limited nature, only 125 cases of this wine were produced in 2019.
