Cuvée Cinéma Pinot Noir 2024 has customary notes of rose, wild strawberry, orange rind, raspberry and sweet spice show early, before a pomegranate quality rises in intensity and depth. The palate reiterates those bright red fruit notes, cut into by the umami of oyster shell and soy. The tannins have a black tea quality, fine and integrated but wonderfully dry. Coiled and taut, this is a vintage that is poised to deliver further pleasures over time.

Crystallum Mabalel Pinot Noir 2024 Red plum, cranberry and a flinty, pleasantly reductive note lead a nose that is full of ripe red fruits, the savoury edge of tomato leaf and spice from star anise and nutmeg. The palate is compact, generous and fruit forward, supported by cocoa nibs and a wonderfully sappy tannin structure that elongates the finish.
