Pierro L.T.C 2024
Castello della Sala Muffato della Sala 2023
Castello della Sala Muffato della Sala 2023, is wonderful golden yellow in colour, the wine shows an important aromatic and flavour complexity characterised first by floral and honeyed aromas and then fresher notes, citric and mineral in the bracing savour they bring to the wine. Though still young, the wine is already balanced but is destined to evolve over time and greatly increase in complexity.
Pietrabianca Chardonnay, Tenuta Bocca di Lupo 2023
Pietrabianca 2020 has a bright yellow colour. The nose reveals fresh notes of orange blossom and exotic fruit. The toasted hazelnut and citrus scents enrich its complexity. On the palate it is characterized by a good freshness capable of reviving the buttery and mineral sensations perceived on the nose. A white capable of expressing itself today as in the years to come.
Passing Giants Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2021
Descendientes de J. Palacios Pétalos 2021
Descendientes de J. Palacios Pétalos 2021 has a rather dense expression, with dark cherries and hints of lavender and oyster sauce to the slate, crushed blueberries, dark cherries and baked strawberries. Full-bodied and tannic, but silky and powdery. Long and tangy to the end. From organically grown grapes.
El Enemigo Chardonnay 2023
El Enemigo Chardonnay 2023 is a high-altitude Chardonnay showing remarkable purity and saline minerality, with aromas of salted lemon, apple, ripe peach and oak spice nuances. Full-bodied yet vibrant with juicy clarity, and a chalky texture.
They say, “Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.” El Enemigo, meaning ‘the enemy’, is a winery you’re going to want to keep very close and share with only the closest of friends.
With its links to Bodega Catena Zapata, we should be surprised that El Enemigo’s Chardonnay punches well above its price tag. But we were dumbfounded by the value it offers. Hailing from Gualtallary in Tupungato, this is one of Argentina’s hidden gems. It was matured in large oak barrels for nine months with the addition of a little flor (the yeast growth that gives Fino and Manzanilla Sherry its distinct flavour). This secret ingredient imparts an extra special complexity and flavour. Expect a velvety textured Chardonnay with lots of vibrancy and lively freshness. Apple pie, lemon curd, apricot, white peach, dried flowers, vanilla cream, hazelnut, sea salt and a whiff of that Sherry-like yeastiness. Stock up before the world realises how exquisite this is and the price rockets.
