Medium-bodied with bright acidity, fine integrated tannins and a savoury, oak-kissed finish. La Rioja Alta S.A. is one of the great houses of Haro, founded in 1890. Viña Alberdi is their classically styled Reserva: 100% Tempranillo from estate vineyards in Rioja Alta, fermented in stainless steel and then aged for 24 months in seasoned American oak barrels with extended bottle age before release. The magnum format slows ageing further — perfect for cellaring or a long lunch.
