Gabriëlskloof Syrah on Sandstone Bot River 2020
The Gabriëlskloof `Syrah on Sandstone` Bot River 2020
From vines that are reaching a good level of maturity, this is a really impressive Syrah from Peter-Allan. Lavender and liquorice, and blackberry fruit mark out a wine that balances the warmth of the site and delicate winemaking.

Crystallum Ferrum Chardonnay 2023
Crystallum Ferrum Chardonnay 2023
A tense and energetic showing of a wine coming into its own. Lime leaf, nori and lemongrass on the nose as well as an appealing hint of peat-like reduction. The palate is bright and citric, with a complementary richness and texture from light honey making for a mouth-coating and sumptuous finish. Length, layers and longevity.
Paul Cluver Chardonnay 2022
On the nose, this wine shows great citrus character with ripe orange and winter melon notes, against lightly toasted brioche. Tangerine fruit and citrus blossom fragrances are apparent, with hints of vanilla pod and a slight salinity. These characteristics follow through onto the palate. The fine, fresh acidity is natural, and adds poise and focus to the wine.

Deano da Vino - I drank a 2013 in 2022 and it was off the charts so I feel the bottle lifespan has many more years than the producers recommendation, see FB post - https://www.facebook.com/groups/drinksawine/permalink/713494569675505/
